  1. The region is named by a mountain range: “South of the Vindhyas”. Why do ranges become the way regions are named and divided? What does such a line include, and what does it leave out?
  2. The KaleidoIndia wildlife series presents India's ecological inheritance “not as scenery, but as security”. What could it mean to treat a forest or a species as a matter of national security? What would change if we did?
  3. Tamil Nadu & Puducherry has been compared to the British Gazetteer of the Madras Presidency. Compare a record of a region made under colonial rule with one made today. What might each notice, and what might each leave out?
